Part-Time Office Administrator

Position Description:
First Baptist on Broad St. is seeking a dedicated and organized Office Administrator to join our team. The Office Administrator will be responsible for maintaining church records, coordinating events, and supporting our ministries and missions. This role works closely with the ministerial staff and support teams to ensure the smooth operation of our daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:

· Maintain accurate church records, including congregant information, group lists, attendance records, meeting minutes, bus records, policies, documents, and contracts.

· Coordinate the scheduling and logistics of church events, including set-up, clean-up, volunteer coordination, registrations, and procurement of supplies and food.

· Enlist, manage, and oversee volunteers, including coordinating necessary background checks.

· Maintain and manage the church calendar, ensuring effective communication regarding events and activities.

· Process and respond to requests for facility use, approving or declining events as appropriate.

· Oversee the procurement and management of office and event supplies.

· Manage technology and oversee repairs and updates of office equipment.

· Assist in crafting and disseminating internal communications, including announcements, newsletters, emails, and updates for social media and the church website.

· Maintain security schedules and assign key fobs as necessary.

· Answer office phones and provide information to inquiries.

· Execute other tasks as assigned to ensure effective church operations.

· Organize, document, and manage all mission projects, events, trips, drives, offerings, and related communications.

· Support staff ministers with various duties as required.

Qualifications:

· Strong organizational and time-management skills.

· Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

· Proficiency in using office software and technology.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

· Understanding of and commitment to the mission and values of First Baptist Church.

· Prior experience in office administration, especially in a church or non-profit environment, is preferred.
