May 6 – 10 is National Teacher Appreciation Week. Help us remember the teachers in our CDC, our church family and in our community. If you would like to send thank you cards, you may send them to the address below or drop them off at the church office. We will make sure they reach our teachers.

First Baptist Prayer for Teachers

Loving and Gracious God,

We are so grateful for our teachers, and for the meaningful work they do each day. We thank you for all the moments when they choose to do what is best over what is easiest. We thank you for all the ways they go above and beyond what is reasonable in order to educate, nurture, and care for our children. We are grateful for all the thankless tasks and extra hours that go unseen. We thank you for the moments when they persevere, even when the goals seem impossible. We thank you for the moments when they see the worst and still choose to believe in the best.

We ask you to bless them in their work. Surround them with the evidence of your mercy and grace. Give them wisdom, patience, courage, renewal, and strength.

We thank you for hearing our prayers and for always so graciously responding because we pray in Jesus’ name.
