Helping People Thrive in God’s Abundant Life
Thriving in Ministry
Resident Internship Program
We are currently accepting applications for our Thriving in Ministry Resident Internship Program. This program exists to equip and mentor Christian leaders early in their careers to lay a foundation for long term, sustainable ministry. By providing hands-on experience, spiritual growth opportunities, and professional development, we aim to prepare residents to serve Christ with passion and purpose. This program is designed to empower participants to lead with confidence, navigate the complexities of ministering to diverse communities, and help the next generation thrive in God's abundant life.
WHAT TO EXPECT
We understand that your first time at a church can be intimidating: you don’t know what to expect, you may not know anyone, or you simply want to “scope out” the church and get out the door quickly! Our hope is that you will feel warmly welcomed as a guest at one of our Sunday morning gatherings. Here are some questions we think you might like answered, even before you try us out!
-
Our early service is held at 9:00 in our Fellowship Hall. It is a more modern, casual service with a variety of music. At 11:00 a.m. we have a Worship Service in our Sanctuary. This service is more traditional, and features a wide variety of music.
When you arrive for your visit, our greeters will welcome you and help you find a seat. You will also receive a warm welcome from our members.
If you will let us know when you are planning to visit, we are happy to have a host waiting for you when you arrive. They can show you around and introduce you to some of our members and staff.
If you prefer a more low key visit, we will not assign you a host, but we are happy to help you with anything you need. Just ask someone wearing a blue lanyard with a greeters badge.

For most of our events, child care is provided for preschool age children. The people who work with our children are kind and friendly. They help with child care because they have a love for children and families.

Come as you are. You will find a wide range of dress. We are much more interested in getting to know you than we are in what you are wearing. Come as you are, anytime, and you will be welcomed.

If you are coming to our Early Worship Service at 9:00, you will park in the back parking lot on the corner of Davis and Mebane Streets. You can enter the building under the covered entrance. When you get to the door, one of our greeters will welcome you and show you where to go.
If you are coming to our 11:00 Worship Service, the best place to park is in our side parking lot located on the corner of Broad Street and Maple Ave. You can enter the building under the covered entrance. When you get to the door, one of our greeters will welcome you and show you where to go.

We can’t make you a Christian, our job is to love you and make you feel like you can belong in our community. We believe that Christianity is a relationship with God and we’re just here to be with you along that journey.
